2 Kings 6:24-7:2: Waiting for Daylight

Mar 21, 2026    Pastor Steve Finley

Sometimes the breakthrough you're praying for is just one day away. But will you have the faith to hold on?

This week we explored 2 Kings 6-7, where Israel faced their darkest hour under siege. Famine drove people to unthinkable desperation. The king blamed God's prophet instead of turning to God in repentance. Yet in the midst of accusation and darkness, God promised: "Tomorrow, the famine ends."

The tragedy? Some gave up just before dawn broke. They couldn't wait one more day for the miracle that was already on its way. How often do we do the same—losing hope right before God's answer arrives?

The same God who loved you enough to send Jesus is the same God walking with you through your darkest valley. Your breakthrough may be closer than you think. Don't give up. The payoff is worth the wait, and hope is on the way.
