Zechariah 9-11

God's plan for our redemption has been unfolding for thousands of years. In Zechariah 9-11, written 500 years before Christ, we find stunning prophecies that point directly to Jesus — his humble entry into Jerusalem on a donkey (Zechariah 9:9), and even the 30 pieces of silver Judas used to betray him (Zechariah 11:12-13).

From Alexander the Great's conquest to the rejection of the Good Shepherd, every detail was foretold with breathtaking precision. God was not caught off guard. He was making sure we would not miss who Jesus is.

The Good Shepherd came lowly, humble, and bringing salvation. He was valued at the price of a common slave. And yet he came anyway — for you. If God orchestrated centuries of history to point us to Jesus, how much does he love you?
