Amos 1-4

God has been speaking. The question is: are we listening?

This week we dove into the Book of Amos, where God sends a shepherd to warn a prosperous nation that success doesn't equal blessing when hearts have turned away. Israel was thriving—expanding borders, growing wealth, military victories—yet worshiping false gods and ignoring the prophets God sent. Sound familiar?

God's warning through Amos is clear: "Prepare to meet your God" (Amos 4:12). This isn't just ancient history—it's a message for us today. Are we so busy performing religious rituals that we've forgotten to actually love and pursue God? Are we prepared for Christ's return, or are we like the five virgins who ran out of oil?

God has been faithful to fulfill every prophecy with precision. What He promises, He delivers. The question remains: Will we listen before judgment comes, or will we wait until it's too late?
