Genesis 5

What if one of the most overlooked passage in the Bible contained the entire gospel message hidden in plain sight? Genesis 5 looks like nothing more than a long list of names and ages. But when you dig into what those names actually mean, something extraordinary emerges.

From Adam to Noah, the meaning of each name in that genealogy tells the story of mankind's fall, God's glory descending, and the promise of rest and comfort through the death of the one who would save us. The math even reveals that Methuselah, the oldest man who ever lived, died in the very year the flood came -- just as his father Enoch had prophesied through that name centuries before.

God hid the gospel in a passage most people skip. That should change the way we approach every word of Scripture. Nothing is filler. Nothing is wasted. Every page points to Christ.

If you have been skipping the "boring" parts of your Bible, it is time to dig in.
