How do we measure true wisdom? It's not found in worldly success or recognition, but in humility before God.

This Sunday we explored James 3-4, discovering that the wisest among us aren't those seeking applause, but those serving with "meekness of wisdom." Like Tom Bombadil untouched by the ring's temptation, or Rocky transformed from wild aggression to measured strength, we're called to let God's Spirit transform us from the inside out.

The truth is simple but challenging: friendship with the world means enmity with God. We can't earn righteousness through our own efforts—we can only receive it through Christ. God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. When we stop trying to sit on the throne of our own lives and submit to Him, that's when real transformation begins.
