Luke 5:12-26

Jesus did not have to touch the leper. It was illegal. It was dangerous. But he reached out anyway -- because his purity was more powerful than the uncleanness it met. What he touches becomes clean. That changes everything.

In Luke 5, we see Jesus heal a leper, read the minds of the Pharisees, and prove his authority to forgive sins by telling a paralyzed man to get up and walk. The crowd dug through a roof just to get their friend in front of Jesus. That kind of desperation came from knowing exactly what was at stake.

We need that same passion. Not arrogance -- because we needed him just as badly as anyone else. But urgency, because Jesus has authority over the physical and the spiritual, and that good news belongs to everyone.
