Luke 6:1-11

Jesus healed a man, and the religious leaders were furious. Not because anything wrong had been done, but because it happened on the Sabbath. That rage reveals something important: when we place tradition and ritual on the same level as God's Word, compassion gets pushed out.

In Luke 6:1-11, Jesus confronts the Pharisees with a powerful truth. Compassion trumps ritual. What is written trumps tradition. He defended his disciples, healed the suffering, and made clear that loving people is never the wrong move, regardless of the day or the religious expectation.

The gospel is not complicated. Jesus died, was buried, and rose again. Whoever believes will not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16). If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that he was raised from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Everything else is secondary.

Come study the character of Christ with us as we continue through the Gospel of Luke.
